Pale, bold-grained and remarkably tough — ash takes a knock like nothing else. Planed to your precise dimensions for furniture, staircases and anything that has to work hard.

Why ash?

Ash is the workhorse hardwood with looks. Its creamy colour and striking open grain suit modern Scandi-style furniture perfectly, while its legendary shock resistance is why it's the traditional choice for tool handles, sports equipment and bentwood work — it flexes where other timbers snap, and it steam-bends beautifully. It's also one of the best-value hardwoods we stock.

What we supply

Prime-grade, kiln-dried American ash, supplied planed all round (PAR) to your finished sizes — machined to around ±0.5mm on spiral cutter blocks in our Poole workshop.
